My darling…I see you
Through the leaves-the brush
I see you searching
I see you lost
But I can save you.
I am hidden in the brush too
And I can provide for you
a hole, a cave, a safe place
I can save you
I can give you what you search for
But you have to coax me.
I am frail like the fallen fox
Who’s carcus rots
He dies with flies around his mouth
He dies alone in pain
In a shallow dirt grave
He was a fallen foe
A misanthrope
A scavenger of carcus’ like his own
And now he lay in such a tired fate…
Alone.
I will not die for nothing
I will not rely on destiny
The wolves are hungry,
And man is on the prowl
He is waiting for his project
A fine specimen for taxidermy
And I will not die for nothing
Oh no, you have to coax me.
I see you searching
I see you from behind the brush
You have dreams inside your soul
You have dreams…
And I have berries, and beads, and things
Which I collect for trading
I want to show you these things…
But you have to coax me
You have to coax me.
